International Capabilities
Understanding the 46 US jurisdictions which include 43 states, plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands in holistic content can help inform research of lottery consumers the world over. Independent Gaming Research has research capabilities and has conducted research on lotteries all over the world. IGR is backed by the research services of LJS and has conducted research in the UK, Italy, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, China, Japan, Chile, Brazil, Mexico and Canada.
We have our own call center with multi-lingual capabilities and together with our partner, LJS, we have conducted surveys in over a dozen different languages for companies ranging from retailing to new product introductions to consumer attitude studies. New Product development is a hot topic for research in the U.S. as well as around the world. At IGR, we have experience with doing research on new lottery products in most Euro Millions countries.
Our monthly newsletters that are so popular in the US reach countries around the world, from Iceland to England and Italy to Australia and New Zealand. Another great resource for our clients is our website, which is visited by more than 30 different countries including China, India, Greece and Iceland on a regular basis.
Shanghai Knowledge Lab
In 2005, LJS opened a state-of-the-art market research center in Shanghai. The center allows clients to obtain key insights about consumers' wants, needs and expectations. We also provide on-site Mandarin translation and advanced video recording equipment.
While our center is located in Shanghai, we are equipped to manage projects throughout all of China and the rest of the world. As a result, we are able to oversee both small and large-scale qualitative and quantitative projects to match your needs.

China National Poll
Much like our National Jack Poll, ILR can also conduct nationally representative surveys in China. Examples of questions we can explore are:
- Who plays the lottery in China?
- Which lotteries are most popular?
- How often do people play?
- How do "regular players" differ from "other players" and "non-players"?

InterNational Poll
The National Poll can be extended into additional countries at a nominal cost and anyone can add questions to our monthly National Poll at any time. We have data for sale based on 4500 surveys done in the last eighteen months that can be used to compare to international data as well.
